We made a spoof electoral ad campaign video. The idea was to make the whole video based on Blondie's looks and sexuality, rather than any of her policies. I played Blondie and was dressed in a wig and red dress, and a group wrote a speech which was full of innuendos. I will post it later. I was filmed saying the speech, but there we also filmed several close-ups of my lips, my hands and my legs. We even used a fan to have my hair blowing in the wind! The idea was to set up this idea that beauty = power and how sex can be used to manipulate people. We filmed several people saying 'I'm voting for Her.' Sarah edited it and the end product is very amusing. It will be a good start to our devised performance as the audience will find it funny, and it is a good way of introducing the play's themes. Sarah is going to make some polling cards with my face and some other faces on it for the audience to fill out based on appearance alone.
